Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Our memorial-sealing option can securely enclose baby fur, other fur, or a small amount of ashes between the layers of a leather charm. The surface is sealed against moisture to preserve this personal keepsake.

No under normal use. We layer hand-painted Japanese professional base and leather dyes. Italian vegetable-tanned leather absorbs the color into its natural fibers for translucent depth. The dyes are non-toxic and free of harsh odor, and a final seal helps prevent color transfer.

With normal care in a dry place away from direct light, vegetable-tanned leather can last 30–60 years or longer. Over time, genuine leather develops a warm patina.

A handmade portrait cannot be a 100% machine-printed copy. Our artists aim to capture more than 85–90% of the form and expression through raised relief and detailed fur carving. We share photos at key stages so you can confirm distinctive eyes and markings.
